The zipline base is located at the Constance Ephelia Resort at Port Launay, on the North West coast of Mahe Island. The 8 zip lines range from 85 meters to 120 metres. These run over the lush green forest canopy and impressive granitic boulders of Mahe’s forest. The best part about this is that all ages can participate and they provide smaller harnesses for children as well. There are two slots available for Zip lining; one starting at 10 a.m. and the other at 2:00 p.m. You are advised to get to the base at least 15 minutes before the start-off time so that you can collect your equipment, be de-briefed about safety and participate in the mandatory ‘training’. The highly trained team takes safety very seriously and will ensure that all zip liners have their harnesses and safety gear worn properly. All participants are then taken uphill by a buggy ride, followed by a short 10-minute walk up the mountain! Be prepared to be taken aback by the amazing views of Port Launay bay on the way up. Rock climbing is also offered on-site for ages 4 years and upwards at the Ephelia site on an 18-meter natural granite rock. Rock climbing is also offered at the Four Seasons Resort site. Seychelles is known for giant granite boulders guarding its beautiful beaches and the islands are surrounded by huge mountains carved from the giant rocks. Also, lush green moist forests rule this island. These rocks along with the forests present a perfect location for these activities.
